AHA ACLS Provider Initial Certification

To ensure you are ready to go, please complete each step in the process.

Step 1

Register

Click the "public classes" link below and see if we have any upcoming AHA ACLS Provider classes. Register to reserve your spot before we fill up.

Step 2

Take the pre-course test

We've included a link and directions how to complete the ACLS pre-course test. This is free and must be completed prior to class. Proof of completion must be submitted to Santiam CPR prior to class.

Step 3

Review information

To ensure the class goes smoothly, we ask that you make sure your comfortable with AHA BLS skills. Additionally, please review the heart monitor directions and optional material listed on this page.

We require completion of the ACLS pre-course test and proof of previous attendance in an AHA ACLS provider class in order to take this class.

The pre-class test is free and is included in your registration. Those who do not submit a copy of a current pre-course test and a recent/current eCard will not be able to attend the class and will not receive a refund. If you are having trouble uploading or accessing these documents, please reach out to us - we're happy to help. 

AHA ACLS Pre-class requirements

​Pre-course test directions

  • Sign in with your registered email or request a one time code. You may have to click the link below to refresh the page once you log in.

  • Enter your name the way you want it on your eCard.

  • Successfully pass the test (70% or greater), this test takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

  • Save the certificate to your computer as a back up.

  • Upload a PDF to our document upload link.

Documentation upload directions

  • Click the link below to be sent to Santiam CPR's document upload form.

  • Enter the name, email, and date of the class..

  • Click the first upload link and upload your certificate.

  • You do not need to upload your previous AHA ACLS eCard since this is an initial certification class.

Heart Monitor Instructions

We will be using DART sim heart monitors for our training. Please download and review the instruction manual so you're familiar with how they function. You can ignore pages 5, 6, and 7 as we will not be using those features in the class.

Optional material

Santiam CPR will be providing the ACLS provider manual and reference cards for you to use during the class. You will be able to use this book for the test. It would be helpful for you to review the book prior to class. You can purchase this information online. These are very helpful to pass the pre-test. Here are the links to AHA's online store:
